"Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising, fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array?" - Song of Songs 6:10
My Dear Brothers and Sisters, As Jeanette is reading this write-up, I will be on the other side of the Pacific Ocean. Nevertheless, distance cannot separate us. Even though I am not able to attend the meeting with you, my heart is with you all and I pray for a successful meeting. In the meantime let us continue to pray for each other. Today we read chapter 2. At the beginning of this chapter, it clearly states that the object of the Legion of Mary is the glory of God. When reading this, I cannot stop reflecting on what exactly is the glory of God? The glory of God is common in both the Old Testament and the New Testament. It contains two complementary concepts: God's own perfection and the creation who praises God. Based on the Bible, theological interpretation states that the purpose of creation is the glory of God. Therefore, we, ourselves, the creation, are to reflect the glory of God. Since we constitute the legion of Mary, we are therefore established for the glory of God and it is our responsibility to work toward holiness. We, the legion of Mary, need to know how to pray and how to help each other through active co-operation on the way to the holiness. To be holy isn’t easy, there are works to do. That is why we need to obediently follow the ecclesiastical guidance; we need not be afraid of facing challenges and temptation, crushing the head of the serpent and advancing the reign of Christ. Therefore, we need to know the glory of God is God Himself, His majestic beauty and greatness. We also need to remember that God sent His only beloved son Jesus Christ to us and that Jesus is the image of the invisible God. The Legion of Mary joyfully listens to Mother Mary’s guidance so she can take us to Jesus. My dear brothers and sisters, let us together work well to reflect the glory of God
