"Who is she that comes forth as the morning rising,
fair as the moon, bright as the sun, terrible as an army set in battle array?" - Song of Songs 6:10
The Legion of Mary is a lay apostolic association of Catholics who, with the sanction of the Church and under the powerful leadership of Mary Immaculate, Mediatrix of All Graces, serve the Church and their neighbour on a voluntary basis in about 170 countries.
We hope you will explore our website and learn more about us and Our Lady.
"...[T]he colour of the Legion is red, and not, as might be expected, blue. This was determined in connection with the settling of a minor detail, that is the colour of Our Lady’s halo in the vexillum and in the Tessera picture. It was felt that Legion symbolism required that Our Lady be shown as full of the Holy Spirit, and that this should be denoted by making her halo of his colour. This drew with it the further thought that the Legion’s colour should be red. The same note is struck in the Tessera picture, which depicts Our Lady as the biblical Pillar of Fire, all luminous and burning with the Holy Spirit."

To all members of the Legion of Mary, Dallas
Dear All,
Peace to you. Please help distribute to your members.
As we are drawing closer to Easter, within this Holy week, the following spiritual growth tips from the diocese of Dallas are very helpful for our legionaries to practice in their own families. In the meanwhile, I encourage each one of our members to find time to call the people they know of who are in need of pastoral care.
I have also decided to call several parishioners in our parish each day during our shelter-in-place and as a result, I was surprised to find that I am the one who has gained a lot of spiritual nourishment from them.May God bless all of us in His two loving hearts.
Dcn. George
READ SCRIPTURE DAILY: Pray along with the church, using the daily readings. This is a wonderful way of following Jesus, from Palm Sunday, through Easter morning.
REFRAIN FROM NOISE AND MEDIA: During Holy Week, limit secular television and radio. Instead, opt for listening to sacred music or television shows.
FAITH FORMATION: Holy Week is a wonderful opportunity for spiritual growth. Read a spiritual book, watch a video or listen to a podcast, all free from Formed.
PALM SUNDAY: Place a branch of any kind on your door or window, publicly acknowledging Palm Sunday, and post and share "Virtual Palms" on your social media channels.
HOLY THURSDAY: Have a simple foot washing ceremony with the family. Read John 13: 1-15. Wash each other’s feet. Share ways you can be of service to one another. The rest of the evening, spend in quiet, spending time with Jesus in the Garden.
GOOD FRIDAY: Keep a period of silence from noon – 3pm. At 3pm, venerate the cross. Read John 18: 1-19:42 and spend time before the crucifix. Pray the Stations of the Cross.
HOLY SATURDAY: Rest and wait on this day, waiting by Jesus’ tomb. Read John 19: 25-27 and take Mary into your heart and home. Go outside...take a walk around the neighborhood. Use chalk and write hopeful messages on the sidewalk or driveway.
